Konshens’ “Bruk Off Yuh Back” Certified Silver In The UK
Dancehall artiste Konshens has hit a milestone with his 2016 banger Bruk Off Yuh Back, which has now been certified silver in the United Kingdom.
The raunchy hit song received a Brit Certified Silver Award in the UK on June 2 by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The certification commemorates the sale of more than 200,000 copies of Bruk Off Yuh Back in the UK.
Bruk Off Yuh Back is produced by Christopher Birch, founder of Birchill Records. The Dameon Gayle-directed music video has amassed over 169 million YouTube views since its debut seven years ago, and the song has reportedly received over 70 million Spotify streams.
The hit song was also remixed in 2017 to feature American singer Chris Brown, who Konshens reached out to after seeing the R&B artiste dancing with women to the track. The song the pair released has since garnered over 13 million views on YouTube.
Konshens, real name Garfield Spence, made his solo debut in 2008 with the big single Winner, and in 2021 he earned a platinum plaque for his Succa Proof collaboration on Nipsey Hussle’s 2018 Grammy-award-winning studio album Victory Lap.
