According to TMZ, federal agents searched Wayne’s plane after it landed in Florida while in transit to California last December, in 2019. At the time Wayne’s attorney, Howard Srebnick explained that the rapper was “cleared” despite the rumours of the found.

Now the F.B.I. feels they have adequate information to tie and charge the New Orleans, Louisiana native to the weapon and ammunition found.

Weezy’s Lawyer Howard Srebnick argues that “There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person.”

He went on to outline that the Charge stems from the fact that Lil Wayne is a felon and should not be in possession of a firearm.
