Liverpool Beats Manchester United 7-nil – Watch Highlights

Manchester United fans were left in tears as they saw their team being demolished by Liverpool in the Premier League matchup between the two on Sunday. At a jubilant Anfield stadium, Liverpool performed flawlessly, allowing Mohamed Salah to achieve the thrilling feat of setting a new record to become the club’s leading goalscorer.

Salah scored two goals in the match to become Liverpool’s highest Premier League goalscorer with 129 goals, surpassing Robbie Fowler.

While it is evident that Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is revamping the club with their recent win in the Carabao Cup, Liverpool opened their eyes with a blood-thirsty reality check on their progress with a relenting 7-0 thrashing.

As former Old Trafford target Cody Gakpo finished off Andy Robertson’s exquisite pass two minutes before halftime, Liverpool gained control of what had been a tense encounter, with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford missing their chances at goal. After 47 minutes, Darwin Nunez’s header deflected Harvey Elliott’s driven cross beyond goalkeeper David de Gea to start the second half, which was a tale of pure delight for Liverpool but unyielding anguish and despair for Manchester United.

Additionally, three minutes later, Salah tricked Lisandro Martinez into assisting Gakpo for another elegant finish, and then the Egyptian resumed his well-known position as Manchester United’s torturer by scoring himself. Salah made it known that he was not finished when he scored high past De Gea to end a quick counterattack, along with Nunez adding another goal from Jordan Henderson’s pass to complete the onslaught.

In addition to becoming the highest Premier League goalscorer for Liverpool, Salah also held on to the title of being the club’s best marksman against Manchester United with 11 goals.
