Jovan Stephenson, the 32-year-old male who was caught on camera brutally beating the mother of his kids, has since been apprehended in the downtown Kingston area on Friday morning after being on the run for a few days. Following his guilty plea to assault, he will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Tuesday regarding an earlier case involving the victim seen in the video.

While on the run the suspect recorded a voice note that he reportedly sent to one of his friends, which has since been leaked to multiple online platforms.
