Man Charged in Clarendon for Stealing Two Cars in less than an Hour
On Thursday, January 14th, 2021 a Clarendon man stole two taxi cars and managed to rob a woman of her cell phone in less than an hour.
23-year-old Khamalie Dennis who lives in the Gayle district, Lionel Town in Clarendon was charged on three counts of robbery, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and shooting with intent.
On the Thursday morning, Dennis robbed a man of his 2013, Toyota Probox motor car, it’s reported that the driver stopped to run an errand when Dennis appeared and managed to take away the car, firing multiple gunshots at the driver in the process of doing so.
The car was later recovered after it broke down on Dennis who abandon it.
Next, a 67-year-old man was robbed of his Taxi also at gunpoint. Dennis used this car to pull-up on a woman and rob her of her Samsung Smartphone.
All of these events took place within an hour.
Dennis managed to reach home safe after carrying out his robbing spree, however, investigators managed to track his location via the phone he stole, the car he stole from the elderly man was also recovered.
He was charged on January 21st.
