Man loses his Life because of Rum

[Sharingbuttons]An argument about a bottle of rum, turned deadly in Westmoreland last Thursday. It was reported that Andrae Darien aka Wacky from Oasis Lane, West End, Negril; was involved in an altercation at a party. 

It was reported by the police, that a man accused another one of stealing a bottle of rum at about 9:30 p.m. 
The dispute turned into a fight and Darien was stabbed in his abdomen with a knife
Even though he was rushed to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, he was pronounced dead when he was examined.

However residence saw what happened at the scene of the murder, and knew that Wacky had died. Decided to find the murderer and he was handed him to the police. Cases like this only shows how easily an argument can turn into something ugly, before there is senseless killing, even when persons go out to have fun. It seems as if Jamaicans need to be told more often, that life is precious. When someone is killed they are gone forever and their relatives find it hard to bury a loved one.

The spiraling murder rate shows that something is wrong with the way people look at life in the country. Some people might even say, a man like this who used his knife like this, should be hanged. He should not be sent to prison to eat food that is bought with taxpayer’s money for the rest of his life.
