Masicka Finally Added to Vybz Kartel’s Top-5 Dancehall Lyricists

Vybz Kartel has been reluctant to call many fellow artistes’ names, while he has been consistently shouting out Skillibeng and Spice amongst others since his prison release. Days ago the Portmore deejay listed his top five Dancehall lyricists ‘from his time until now’.
The names mentioned included Chronic Law, Skillibeng, Assassin and Aidonia. During the interview on The Brando Music Review show, the 48-year-old struggled to call a fifth name which sparked debates online with most people mentioning that “Masicka” should have been mentioned.
Agreeing with the majority, Vybz Kartel followed up on Tuesday, adding Masicka to the list as the ‘honourable mention’. The declaration was made during a live chat on TikTik in which he was told to ‘Bigup” several communities, countries and artistes.
Masicka’s name was mentioned in a comment to which Kartel responded by saying, “Big up Masicka, my dawg dem affi live, yuh done know that man.” “Hear the fifth lyricist deh weh mi vote een, suh it was wah Donia, Sassin, Law Boss, Skillibeng, Masicka… mi dog dem affi live!”
Vybz Kartel also sent a special shoutout to his musical brother, David Brooks aka Mavado. “Davaid a mi bredda that, weh yuh atalk bout man,” he stated.
