Mavado Posts Picture With Tommy Lee Sparta
More and more Jamaican artistes are embracing unity these days, collaborating more than ever to build the genre.
The most recent, step towards unity in the Jamaican music industry comes by way of the “Gully God” Mavado who posted a picture on his Instagram page with the now incarcerated deejay, Tommy Lee Sparta who was not too long ago given a 3-year prison sentence for an illegal firearm.
The move might have surprised many since Tommy Lee is a musical child of the “Gaza Don” Vybz Kartel, who has had year’s of feuding with the “Overcome” artiste out of Cassava Piece.
It is now apparent, however, that Mavado is looking past all the ruckus, and stepping up the game as he was not afraid to post the picture.
In the caption of the photo, he wrote “Bless up the youths dat fighting the struggle brighter days. đđż we might fight against each other at times but itâs just one ghetto and if we fight together then you will see the real power.”

In the comments section of the photo the “5-star general” Bounty Killer, wrote that the picture Mavado posted was the energy, they are pushing forward with. Many fans were also pleased with what they saw, commenting nothing but great words in appreciation for the picture.
Does this mean that the two might have recorded a song together? Fans will need to wait and see what is in store, but one thing for sure is that Dancehall music is going in the right direction.
