Mavado Sends Message to Son ahead Trial that starts on Vybz Kartel’s Birthday

Dante Brooks, the son of Mavado is to appear before the court for trial on Thursday, for the multiple charges that were laid on him some time ago.

The singjay’s son is also now at the age where he is ready to be charged as an adult and he will proceed to face the court on the 7th of January for, Arson, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, shooting with intent and conspiracy to murder.

The murder that was committed on June 5th, 2018 saw the victim Lorenzo Thomas losing his head. A witness statement given to the police stated, “Memba di boss want him head” and Thomas’ neck was cut.

2018 was the same year the Gully Side artiste, visited Jamaica but quickly left the country due to being shot at in his home community of Cassava Piece.

Afterwards, there was a big uproar in Cassava piece resulting in several murders.

Mavado yesterday, January 5fth posted a photo with himself and Dante stating in the caption, “I love you son”.

While Mavado will be biting his nails on Thursday with hopes for his son’s freedom, Vybz Kartel will be celebrating his birthday the same day.

The teenager will go through a no jury trial which is now common as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Lawyer Peter Champagnie who represents Brooks earlier explained in an interview with the Jamaica star that “Our client is confident that when all the evidence is heard, he will be vindicated.”

Brooks was earlier represented by lawyer Bert Samuels.

it was earlier reported that Dante’s co-accused struck a deal with the police and already has given a telling statement about what took place.
