His marriage and family life has not been very open but fans are always curious to know what is happening around him. There is no doubt that not all the important affairs of the family can be kept a low profile. There was controversy surrounding his son and another 23 years old young man who’s name is Andre Hines and in 2018 they were charged for the murder of Lorenzo Thomas.
Mavado’s son Dantay Brooks was charged for planning the murder which took place in Cassava Piece, St Andrew. Another charge was illegal possession of weapons and arson which made things even worse. According to some alleged reports, it was Dantay who gave instructions to Andre to kill Lorenzo.
Police dug into the matter and they got a witness who told the police that the teenager guy gave instructions to kill Lorenzo. The real order was to behead the victim which couldn’t happen fully. Dantay was then taken to the court but he refused to accept all these charges against him.
Mavado’s son is currently being represented by attorney-at-law Bert Samuels.
