[Sharingbuttons]Over the weekend all of Mavado’s family members were released by the Police except for his 17 year old son who is rumoured to be the cause of recent disaster surrounding the artiste. Intead of being released Mavado’s son was taken to the Metcalfe Street Secure Juvenile Remand Centre. No info as to how long the 17 year old will be held by the state.

The “Top shotta nuh miss, dem seh mi ah rise crime!” Deejay is said to be in dialog with his attorney-at-law Tamika Harris and his expected t return to Jamaica soon.

Mavado was shot at when he visited the island recently and he reported the incident to the police. There was an argument between Mavado and an individual, Mavado reportedly hit the person, after which a group of men was brought to the scene by the man and Mavado was shot at, but he escaped unhurt. Someone is being held at the Constant Spring Police Station because of the shooting.

It seems as though the police would need Mavado to look at persons who are in custody to see if he can identify any of them as the persons who were there when he was shot at. The lawyers are saying Mavado has been a law-abiding citizen and he is not connected to any criminal network. On the other hand there have been a number of killings in the Cassava Piece area since Mavado visited.
