MC Nuffy Says he Told Laing to Book Popcaan, Masicka or Alkaline to Make Sting Work!

“Mi tell him seh listen if you not getting Masicka, yuh not getting Alkaline, yuh not getting Popcaan… if yuh nah get dem… just postponed,” said MC Nuffy before detailing that Laing went ahead and have meetings with the names he listed but they ultimately did not agree to perform.

“Mi seh Laing if yuh cah get none a dem artiste yah figet about it,” Nuffy also said.

“I would neva disrespect Sting, but at this moment if Laing call mi back him affi gi mi bout 5 million dollar, which is fi true because yuh know seh mi have some back compensation weh mi neva get,” says Nuffy.

In the interview done with Kshema Francis on IRIE FM, MC Nuffy highlighted that Laing blocked him since he publicly asked him to cancel the 2024 staging of Sting. He also revealed that he was instrumental in Kartel getting his first payment to perform at Sting, back in the days.

He further outlined that “nuff time’ he was the one who influenced Kartel to perform at Sting when Laing could not get to him.

In 2024, the outspoken Dancehall personality told Laing that it would be a bad move should Sting’s organizers try to go up against Vybz Kartel’s December 31 show, instead, he urged the veteran promoters to support Vybz Kartel and make an appearance at his event.

MC Nuffy did not stop there, in the new interview he revealed that he felt some type of way when Laing decided to turn over the organisation of the show to his son Tahheer Laing and not give him the opportunity to be involved in the runnings of the show, highlighting that he has new ideas that would have worked.
