In a desperate bid to find her missing daughter, dancehall artiste Medikk, businesswoman Millicent McCurdy has announced a substantial increase in the reward for information that could lead to her daughter’s safe return.
McCurdy’s initial reward of $500,000 yielded no new leads or information regarding her daughter’s whereabouts, prompting her to double the amount in the hopes of eliciting vital clues.

Speaking to the Jamaica Observer, McCurdy expressed deep concern about the lack of progress in the investigations surrounding her daughter’s disappearance. She revealed that the police have been unable to locate Medikk’s phone, and no ransom demands have been forthcoming. Despite the effects it has caused on her emotional well-being, Millicent McCurdy remains determined to uncover the truth.
In her quest for justice, McCurdy has taken her grievances to Major General Anthony Anderson, the Commissioner of Police. She shared her frustration that her daughter’s case has not been treated as a top priority despite witnessing swift and high-level police investigations in other prominent cases, such as the recent disappearance of the daughter and baby mother of a well-known politician.
McCurdy urged Major General Anderson to intervene personally in her daughter’s case and emphasised the need to put aside biases, underlining that cases like these should be handled with unity, regardless of one’s societal status. She believes that Major General Anderson’s involvement and immediate response could mean the world to her and her family during this trying time.
Millicent McCurdy also expressed her disappointment in the lack of technological progress in the investigation. She called upon Jamaica’s authorities to harness the country’s advanced technology resources to solve the case and bring her daughter home safely.
Medikk (29), whose real name is Stephany Williams, was last seen wearing a black blouse, black tights, and a pair of black shoes. She is of brown complexion, slim build, and stands around 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to call 311. A substantial reward awaits anyone who can provide information that will lead to the safe return of Medikk.
