Rapper Meek Mill has joined the growing list of figures distancing themselves from music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing serious allegations of sexual assault and trafficking. Once collaborators and friends—highlighted by a viral moment where they sported identical outfits at a party—Meek and Diddy’s relationship appears strained as public speculation grows.
Meek has been drawn into the controversy surrounding Diddy who recently tuned 55 years old behind bars, with rumors suggesting he might be the unnamed rap artiste mentioned in Rodney “Lil’ Rod” Jones’ lawsuit.
In September, Meek responded to these insinuations, offering $100,000 to private investigators to uncover any connections tying his name to the allegations, expressing frustration with the media’s portrayal of him. “Something’s not right,” he noted.
On Wednesday, November 13, a video surfaced on Instagram where a fan approached Meek in public for a shoutout. He emphatically declared his separation from Diddy, using the viral phrase “No Diddy,” which has gained traction among critics of the Bad Boy Records founder. “This real life… ‘No Diddy’ gang,” Meek asserted.
The catchphrase, popularized by figures like 50 Cent and NFL star Antonio Brown, has become a tool for trolling Diddy, with some making inappropriate insinuations about his relationships. Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, responded to the latest drama with a cryptic “smh” under DJ Akademiks’ tweet about Meek’s comments.
This change of tone comes months after Meek Mill defended Diddy against the allegations in April, he stated, “I don’t believe no Diddy story once they lied about me now!” Meek Mill asserted, expressing his frustration over the impact of rumours on his family, particularly his 12-year-old son.”
