Michael Lee-Chin And Rihanna Made Forbes’ 2022 Billionaire List

As of January 22, 2022, Forbes posted its billionaire listing and according to them, there are 2,755 billionaires in the world. Of this number, it is reported that only 15 or less than one percent are African or African-American.

Nonetheless, two of the Caribbean’s finest made the top 15 list of Black billionaires in the world, they are; Rihanna of Barbados who ranked number 10 and Michael Lee-Chin of Jamaica who ranked number 12.

Robyn Fenty most known as Rihanna is a singer, actress, fashion designer, businesswoman, and a National Heroine of Barbados who is reported to have an estimated net worth of US$1.7 billion.

Mr. Lee-Chin is a majority investor in National Commercial Bank (NCB) Jamaica, AIC Limited, and other companies. He is reported to have an estimated net worth of US$1.6 billion.

Dr. Patrice Motsepe, founder and chairman of African Rainbow Minerals is a South African mining businessman with an estimated net worth of US$2.9 billion;
Oprah Winfrey, an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist. She has an estimated net worth of US$2.7 billion;
Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of the software firm Palantir Technologies. He has an estimated net worth of US $2.1 billion;
