Montego Bay Among Top Destinations Searched for on the Internet

More vaccines and testing are now appearing to be a viable reality and American travellers are expecting to visit their favourite destinations in 2021. The travel destinations that were searched for a lot more than others on the internet were compiled and Montego Bay in Jamaica was placed among the list of countries that are in the top 20 positions.

Montego Bay is the premier tourist destination in Jamaica and it is ranked 12th among the top 20 places. Americans who are trying to escape the cold winter weather each year, don’t mind being on the golden beaches and swimming in the clear turquoise water. The island is not far from the US and the rich cultural history added to the warm tropical weather have been attracting visitors to the all-inclusive hotels.

In November 2020 all the air and sea borders were opened, but visitors had to obtain a travel authorization before leaving their country.

For non-resident visitors, there is a mandatory travel insurance plan known as “Jamaica Cares”, which was imposed by the Government. The cost for it has been between US$40 and US$50, and it was included in the authorization process.
