The National Water Commission NWC announced that as of today, the water supply to some areas that are served by the Mona Treatment and Hope Filter plants in Kingston, will not have water nightly from 8:00pm to 5:00am the following day.

The NWC says the current storage levels at the Mona Reservoir is now at 67.6 % and there is a weather forecast for continued dry periods.

The adjusted regulations have become necessary in order to ensure that there will be water supply throughout the coming months.

Approximately 30 communities will be impacted by this. August Town, Mona Heights, Downtown Kingston, sections of New Kingston and Half-Way-Tree, Maxfield Avenue and Beverly Hills will be among them.
