The mother of the teen that was reportedly raped by a St. James Apostolic Church pastor, is now in custody as she was booked by the police for trying to pervert the course of Justice.
Reports are that after the 15-year-old girl told the authorities about the matter, she and her mom went back to the Police Centre for Sexual Offences Investigation where the mother of the teen gave a different statement for the case to be dropped against the 39-year-old “man of the cloth”, identified as Jason Rose.
According to the Police, the youngster was again questioned, later letting the officers know that she was being forced to give a different statement by her mother, the pastor and his spouse. Upon receiving that information, the police did not delay in having the girl’s mother booked for perverting the course of justice and she is now being held until her June 16 court date.
As for the teenager, she is now secured under State Care. Another person of interest by the name of Kimoy Rose is also being summoned by the Police to show up at the station by midday today.
The Pastor who was recently asked to turn himself in, after the 15-year-old girl turned up at the Freeport station, had allegedly taken off on the run after he was not seen at Church, the following Sunday.
Reports revealed that the clergyman turned himself over to the police on Monday and he was subsequently questioned by detectives from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).
