Dancehall artiste Mr. Vegas has called out Bounty Killer for the statement he made about Ricky Trooper following the news that the sound selector’s daughter had died.
Trooper’s daughter, who was known as Bri Bri, was reportedly shot and killed in Connecticut, USA, on Thursday, and following news of the 23-year-old’s murder, Bounty Killer addressed her death in an Instagram post on Friday. Bounty said that while he did not “like one bone inna” Ricky Trooper’s body, children were innocent, and the artiste sent his condolences to Bri’s family.
After Bounty’s statements, Vegas called out the deejay during a live stream for making a jab at Trooper and tagging him in his post after he had just lost his daughter. Though he was seemingly receiving pushback from Bounty’s supporters, who had suggested that this was not the right time to address his comments, Vegas continued, liking Bounty’s recent statements to ones he had made about Merciless.
The artiste recalled Bounty’s allegations in 2022 that Merciless had died from a drug overdose and that his family was hiding it. Bounty was facing heavy pushback at the time as he had not attended Merciless’ funeral.
Vegas said it appeared that Bounty had immunity from judgement, and it was okay for him to express his ill feelings whenever he wishes to, but wrong for the Heads High deejay to try and hold him accountable for his comments.
