The video of the incident was released by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, (United States of America) and shows a tall male wearing a blue, long-sleeved dress shirt and black pants sprinting out of the courtroom after his restraints were taken off.

According to reports, the laws in Oregon stipulate that when a suspect is presented for a jury selection in court, his or her’s restraints must be removed.

After he was freed, Villalobos made it seem as if he was going to take a seat by reaching out to pull out a chair, before pushing it out of the way and making his escape. Edi Villalobos’ trial was cancelled and will be rescheduled for another date, which is to be announced.
