A multimillion fraud has been committed by a senior manager at the National Commercial Bank. The investigation is still ongoing by the Police’s Counter-Terrorism, the Fraud Squad and Organised Crime Investigation Branch.
The senior manager has been identified to be Andrea Gordon, 52, who worked at the Trafalgar Road branch of the Bank. She has been charged with theft as a servant.
As claimed by the police, Andrea Gordon has been sending funds to her personal account from the bank’s account. The total amount that has been known so far is 25 million dollars that were transferred by her during the previous three years.
Though, a complete audit is still in progress. It has also been suspected that she further transferred the amount to her children’s account.
She has been offered station bail for one million dollars with guarantee.
The first hearing is to be held on July 23 in Corporate Area Parish Court.
