New Zealand’s PM Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Jacinda Ardern and her partner Clarke Gayford became happy parents to a 3.31kg or 7.3lb. baby girl this week. This makes her the second PM to ever give birth while she is the leader of a country. Her maternity leave will not be very long, as she has very important matters to take care of.

The 37 year old mother posted on Social Media about her great news as she thanked everyone including the staff at the hospital in Auckland who helped her to make the good news possible.

Ms. Ardern also made comments about reading Cabinet papers during her leave and remaining in charge of the government. There were a lot of messages pouring in from leaders in the region as they congratulated her on the arrival of her new born.
