Former President of the United States Of America, Barack Obama, has released his annual summer playlist, and Jamaicans have once again secured spots on it.
Included in the list of 53 amazing songs are legendary tracks coming from Bob Marley and the Wailers, Popcaan and Koffee.
The masterful collaboration of John Legend and Koffee, on the track “Don’t walk away” currently has the number 3 spot on the list, something that definitely deserves a “Toast”.
The “Rapture” artiste, has recently won a reggae Grammy and this definitely adds to her accolades as an internationally prodigy.
At number 14 on the list, is the song Twist & turn done by the Ovo trio Drake, Popcaan and Partynextdoor. This is very big for the ” unruly boss” who has just released his album called “The fixtape” with “Twist & turn” being a featured track.
Bob Marley and the Wailers, hold the number 16 position on the list. This placement comes with the song “Could you be loved”.
The reggae icon is very well known in the States, as a human symbol of peace, whose tracks are very popular among music listeners.
This is certainly a great mark on the name of Jamaican music regardless of the inside issues currently facing the industry.
