Omari Banks sends Message of love to Africa in new Video

Music that stands the test of time, music that is as relevant yesterday, as today and tomorrow. That is the aim, the legacy that a true artist wishes to give the world.

The latter speaks loudly for Reggae, Rock, Blues recording artist and musician Omari Banks with “Oh Africa”. Featured on his 2013 Move On album, the message is more relevant today than ever. “History tells us that Africa is where civilization began so it is sad to see the exploitation the continent and its people receive up until today, we have gotten so much culture, art, religion, resources and History from Africa. The song OH África is a cry for us as African people to find our roots and as a human race respect the mother of civilization. No matter the continent or island we now settle we are in some way a part of Africa so we should love and respect Africa as one people.” – explained Omari.

A prominent figure on his beautiful island of Anguilla, Omari has been at the sports and music forefront on an international level, locally with various lectures and highlighting the resources of Anguilla such as his hometown Music Academy. Omari Banks “Oh Africa” video was filmed live at the Anguilla Music Academy and features some of the island most talented musician. The modest visuals takes you right to the message, music with a purpose, to educate, entertain, and reflect.
