Papine Businessman Charged With The Murder Of Son

64-year-old businessman Delton Knight has been slapped with a murder charge after he was taken into police custody, for the shooting of his son.

According to the report, on April 12, Knight who is a licensed firearm holder had an altercation with his son Ruel at his business place in Papine St. Andrew, which led to him brandishing and shooting the younger Knight and fleeing the scene immediately.

Upon being rushed to the hospital his 38-year-old son was pronounced dead.

Even though Delton Knight told the police that his actions were due to self-defence, he was charged with murder nonetheless. The Court date for him to be tried is still in contemplation.
