Parent In Transport Authority Uniform Beats Security Guard At Child’s School In St. James

A parent sporting the Transport Authority uniform brutally attacked a security guard at the Corinaldi Primary School in St James yesterday, April 11.

Reports are that the incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. when the unnamed man refused the instructions given by the security personnel, advising him to wait outside the school for his child as mandated by the school policy.

Based on reports from a witness, the parent proceeded on the school grounds and when stopped by the security, he grabbed and slapped him in the face. A fight ensued between both men and police officers were summoned to the scene.

The security guard was then transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St.James for treatment and underwent several tests.

The Corinaldi Primary School will be closed for two days following the incident for school administrators to meet with parents and teachers.
