Well according to Paris Hilton, it was…wait for it…Paris Hilton! On this day, 11 years ago, Paris claims that her and Britney Spears heroically ventured onto uncharted territory, turning the camera on themselves, and making the selfie the disastrous part of life that it is today.

All of these examples are meant to prove that Paris cannot take credit for inventing the selfie because there are, at least, dozens of other people who have a more effective argument. Plus, they have the selfies to prove it.
