Person of Interest in “Slickianna’s” Death Reportedly Flees To The US

Rushane Patterson, the person of interest named by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) in the death of Aneka ‘Slickianna’ Townsend has reportedly left the island and departed to the US.

Commander of the St. James Police Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Vernon Ellis issued a statement asking Patterson of an Hanover address to turn himself over to the police by 5 p.m. on Saturday. It is said that Townsend was last seen alive in his company at a restaurant in the parish.

However, reports are that he boarded a flight that same day at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay en route to Atlanta, Georgia.

On Friday, Townsend’s body was discovered floating face down in the sea in Reading, St. James. She was retrieved from the water by the police and members of the Marine Division. A wig and a bloodied piece of cloth were reportedly also retrieved from the scene by officers.

It is suspected that Townsend was killed at a different location and then discarded in the waters.
