This Man is Wanted in Relation to Death of Social Media Influencer

Following the discovery of the remains of Aneka Townsend, popularly known as Slickianna, the St. James police have released the name of a man considered a person of interest in their investigation.

The commander of the St. James Police Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Vernon Ellis, disclosed to the Jamaica Observer that they are requesting Rushane Patterson of Prosper, Hanover, to turn himself over to the police by 5 p.m. on Saturday as he is a person of interest. Ellis also relayed that following a series of operations that were conducted on Saturday morning in a neighbouring parish, a vehicle was seized in relation to the woman’s death.

Reports state that the woman’s remains were discovered floating face down in the sea on Friday in Reading, St. James. The body was retrieved from the water by the police and members of the Marine Division. A wig and a bloodied piece of cloth were reportedly also retrieved from the scene by officers. It is believed that she was killed at a different location and then moved to the sea.
