Businessman Fatally Shot On Rose Hall Main Road In St James
A businessman from St James was gunned down on Rose Hall main road on Wednesday afternoon when armed men suddenly opened fire on him during the traffic. The police identified the victim as Andre Young of Lilliput in the parish.
According to the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the communication arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), the incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 p.m. when the 34-year-old man was driving his car towards Montego Bay when gunmen pounced upon him with gunshots.
Young was shot several times in his upper body, and he was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
The police have not named any suspects, nor have they theorized a motive behind the killing.
