Peter Phillips yet to hear Dovey Magnum’s “Bawl Out” Slack Version
Leader of the opposition, People’s National Party Dr. Peter Phillips conducted an interview with TVJ All Angles recently where he spoke about Jamaica’s pending general election and activities so far in the polls.
After explaining that he doesn’t watch the polls and outlining his plans to win the upcoming election Dr. Peter Phillips was asked whether or not he supports Dovey Magnum’s song “Bawl Out” which is currently the leading campaign song for the PNP.
Dr. Phillips replied surprisingly stating “No” before quickly asking “what’s the original”, by all accounts the leader of the PNP hasn’t heard the original version of the song and reiterate that he only knows the dubplate which he felt was a good thing because dancehall artistes don’t usually do dubplates for politicians.
“i don’t know the original.. i don’t know the slack version” Dr. Phillips went on to explain that no one from his party nor his circle brought up the fact to him that the original song is a slack song.
After watching the interview, one person commented “Dovey dub nuh sound good nah go lie u I’m just being honest” while another stated, “What a clown…how the hell is this man the leader of the opposition?”.
