Police Officer Hit Down by Taxi Driver who is now on the Run

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is searching for the taxi driver that hit down a police officer with his car this morning and they are seeking the public’s assistance to find him.

The officer was assigned to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch. 

The police reported that, the vehicle is a black Toyota Wish, with licence plate PJ 6379, and they also revealed that the driver of the car evaded many attempts by the police when they tried to get him to stop.

In the meantime, the injured cop will have to undergo a surgical operation, the police have reported.

The police have reported that the car was found abandoned in Mountain View, St Andrew hours after the incident.
