Police Officer Shoots Son After He Allegedly Attacked Her With A Knife in St. Catherine

Police processed a scene in the Ebony Vale community after it was reported that a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) shot her son after he allegedly attacked her with a knife.

According to reports, at around 7:40 PM last night, the police officer and her 18-year-old son (whose identities are being withheld) were at their home in Ebony Vale, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, when the incident took place.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are currently unknown, however, it was stated that the teen attacked his mother with a knife after which he was shot three times in the chest area. He was reportedly rushed to the hospital for treatment by responding officers.
