Police Seizes over 1000 pound of Weed and Captured 4 illegal Haitians

Jamaica News, Intensified efforts by Jamaica’s police have put a dent in the illegal ‘guns for drugs’ trade that operates between Haiti and Jamaica. The police reported that their investigations revealed that Haitian men entered the island illegally and they are facilitators in the guns-for-drugs trade between the two islands.

As a result of their investigation, 4 Haitians were apprehended in Naggo Head in Portmore, St Catherine, on Sunday, April 4.

While on Tuesday, April 6 over 1000 pound of compressed marijuana was seized when a joint police/military team carried out operations in the Braeton community.

The St. Catherine South Police says players in the trade will be continuously targeted.

In the meantime, the lawmen are appealing to Jamaicans that are able to assist in the investigation to contact them, the St Catherine North Police at 876-984-2305 and 876-984-4490 or Crime Stop at 311.
