Two Jamaica defence soldiers have been arrested after a shootout ensued between them and some police officers at Gutters, St. Elizabeth.
It is being reported that around the time of 9 pm, the police saw a minibus with the soldiers and signalled them to stop but they did not.
Instead, they opened fire at the police damaging the van the officers travelled in.
After the air cleared and the shootout between the lawmen was over, the guns were taken from the soldiers and they were arrested and brought to the Lacovia Police station where they are currently in lockup.
