According to reports, several cops went to a location in the Sanshore district minutes after 10 pm where they observed a party taking place with approximately 150 people.

The party was not permitted and ongoing beyond curfew hours. The officers proceeded to take legal actions and held a man in particular who was said to be carrying a knife, at this moment it’s said that the police were stoned resulting in injuries to cops and damages to the police vehicle.

The man held by the police was subsequently charged for being in possession of an offensive weapon, destruction of property and for indecent, abusive language.

As a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, PM Holness earlier stated that, we will have a 10pm to 5am curfew up until the 15th of January 2021, however, if the numbers rise beyond reasonable expectations then the government will re-evaluate the 10pm-5am hours.

The last gathering limits were 15 and 10 people which is far off the approximately 150 observed by the police in Portland.
