Policeman Charged For Sex With Minor

A 36-year-old Police constable has been charged after allegedly befriending the underage sister of a woman who would usually visit the station he is located at due to bail conditions.

The Policeman whose name is Jerone Salomon was offered a $350,000 bail after appearing in Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Friday which saw the judge giving the constable another court date for January 13 where he will need to do a committal hearing to decide if the case should be brought to the Supreme Court.

It was decided upon earlier this month by a ruling that the Policeman should be charged.

The reports are that the underage female and the constable became acquainted with each other after the sister’s station visits and later became intimate which was eventually found out and reported to the Center Of Investigations of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

Investigations have since then been launched into the matter and a case file has been in preparation to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
