Policeman Killed in St. Andrew

According to reports a police corporal went to a location on Golding Avenue in St Andrew about 3:30 PM on Friday. Minutes after the cop went into the business establishment, shots were heard. The police were called and after a search of the area the corporal was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The shooting took place metres away from the University Hospital of the West Indies.

It’s believed that the attack was carried out by gunmen who are yet to be identified.

A police investigation is currently on the way.
