Popcaan Finally Releases ‘Where We Come From’ Music Video, 10 Years Later

Dancehall icon Popcaan released the official music video for his hit song ‘Where We Come From,’ on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, commemorating the 10-year anniversary of his debut studio album of the same name. Originally released on June 10, 2014, by Mixpak Records, the album solidified the St. Thomas, Jamaica native’s place on the global stage.

Popcaan’s debut project featured collaborations with heavyweight producers such as Dre Skull, Dubbel Dutch, Anju Blaxx, Jaime YVP, and Adde Instrumentals, all contributing to the project’s vibrant soundscape. The title track, ‘Where We Come From,’ resonated deeply with fans worldwide, amassing over 41 million views on YouTube since its initial release. ‘Everything Nice’ is another standout on the project.

In celebration of the album’s milestone, Popcaan has unveiled a deluxe edition of ‘Where We Come From‘, featuring two previously unreleased tracks, ‘Don’t Finesse Me’ and ‘Beat The Struggle,’ along with an acoustic rendition of the iconic title track. These additions offer fresh perspectives on a record that helped to defined an era in Dancehall music.
