Popcaan gives his views on Why Sheba not Getting Royalties from Kartel

Portmore female artiste Sheba who is known for her musical collaborations with Vybz Kartel was on live recently and she outlined that since Vybz Kartel went to jail she stop getting paid for her music.

In her live chat, Sheba outlines that she joined BMI and another company in 2012 however she is yet to get a payout from any of the royalty companies she joined.

According to Sheba, an agent told her that Vybz Kartel might be collecting her royalties.

Amidst this Saga, a question was asked on IG via an internet personality to which Popcaan replied stating “she never wrote a line… wey she expect”.

ZIP FM also posted about Sheba’s claims, something Sheba did not take kindly to and went online to clear her name, explaining that she was not only talking about her songs with Vybz Kartel.

She detailed that she has done songs for several producers around the world that she is yet to see royalty for, “a 53 song mi have people” she stated before pointing out that most of her songs Jamaicans don’t know.

She has a song playing in “Switzerland right now”, “i was talking about my songs them in general” she outlines.

Vybz Kartel himself seemingly is not taking kindly to Sheba’s comments and subsequently made a subliminal post about helping artiste to “bus”.
