Popcaan Links Up With Shawn Storm Plus Performance
For a while, it was presumed by many that the two Gaza affiliates do not see eye to eye with the fact that Shawn Storm has a song in which “Poppy” name was called in a negative way, however, in a recent interview with The Fix, Shawn Storm declared that he was not the one who mentioned “Poppy” in the song.
“New name fi informa Poppy” was a line in the song, however, Shawn Storm whose real name is Shawn Campbell revealed that he did not sanction the diss line and he did not upload the song to his YouTube.
A song done by Vybz Kartel’s sons years ago also mentioned that Popcaan is not to be trusted.
Nevertheless, Shawn Storm shouted out Popcaan in his interview with The Fix while throwing shade at Blak Ryno. According to Shawn Storm, Blak Ryno has been trying to ride the Gaza “wave” since their prison release.
Blak Ryno has since clapped back, dismissing Shawn Storm’s claims. Ryno stated, “Ride mi own wave, stand on my own feet, turn down many contracts, never run to other sides, never run to police or media bout altercations, mi stand the pressure and keep it in the streets and out the public.”
Fast forward to Sunday, September 1, 2024, Popcaan took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Shawn Storm as they embraced each other. Seemingly this was the first time the two met after Shawn Storm’s release.
The link-up was done in Club Meca where Shawn also performed his songs ‘Loyalty‘ and ‘My Life‘.
