Popcaan Stars in Clarks Ad Ahead of New Wallabee Release

Further entrenching its connection to Jamaica and Dancehall music, Clarks recently announced that it would be releasing a new Wallabee shoe with Dancehall star Popcaan. Ahead of the release of his new Wallabee design in partnership with Clarks, the Jamaican artiste is the star of a Clarks ad for the latest take on the popular Wallabee boot.

The ad features the St. Thomas native attempting to navigate the unfamiliar terrain of Somerset, England, where Clarks was founded, as he tries to locate the company’s headquarters. The ad begins with Popcaan lost with no reception at St. Michael’s Tower in Glastonbury Tor.

As the Family deejay’s phone fails him, he humorously asks for assistance from a nearby flock of sheep roaming the famous Tor. Popcaan continues to traverse the countryside, stopping for tea and directions at the Abbey Tea Rooms & Restaurant, which only leads to more confusion.

However, the ad concludes with the artiste finally reaching his destination and signing off on the new Wallabee design. Popcaan’s Unruly Wallabees will be available for purchase on November 10 at Clarks outlets in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Local Clark fanatics and Unruly fans will also be able to purchase the new Wallabees at select stores in Jamaica.
