Popcaan’s Unruly Fest to Return to St. Thomas This December

After a long hiatus initiated by the coronavirus pandemic, international dancehall artiste and St. Thomas native Popcaan has announced the return of his Unruly Fest.
The inaugural staging of the event was held in 2018 at Lyssons Park in St. Thomas and featured both local and international artistes, such as Drake. Unruly Fest’s first staging was highly praised by its attendees, resulting in an even greater turnout at its second in 2019.
In 2019, patrons were treated to performances by Skillibeng, Chronic Law, Bounty Killer, and Beenie Man. The event’s founder, Popcaan, entered the stage by flight via a harness rig while performing his hit single, Dream.
Unruly Fest’s meteoric rise in the live stage show circuit was abruptly cut short with the onset of the coronavirus in 2020. After a three-year hiatus, Popcaan has announced the return of Unruly Fest, sharing the stage show’s official date on Instagram on Friday.
The customary Yuletide event will return for the 2023 Christmas season and will be staged on December 22. The Family deejay has not yet confirmed Unruly Fest’s location. Following its debut in 2018, the event was moved from the park to a larger venue at the Goodyear Oval.

Fans of the artiste had expected Unruly Fest to return last year along with the slew of other returning local events. However, Popcaan encouraged his fans to come and support him at his slated performance at Burna Boy’s Love Damini world tour concert, which was staged at the National Stadium on December 18.
