Port Royal Almost Ready to Welcome 2000 Tourists

The Port Royal cruise pier in Kingston gets ready to welcome it’s first ship on Monday and the final work is being done.

PAJ or the Port Authority of Jamaica who is carrying out the work revealed that the facility is approximately 90% finished.

Gordon Shirley, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the PAJ said, “while the work is not fully completed, some 2000 tourists are prepared to visit on Monday.”

He also said the US $45 million facilities will be the first multi-purpose port on the island, and some sections of it will be open to the public on specific days.

There are cruise ports in Jamaica, located in Port Antonio, Montego Bay, Falmouth, Ocho Rios and this 5th on in Port Royal.
