Portland Pastor Charged For Raping 13 Year Old

A 23-year-old Pastor by the name of Jamal Harris has been charged by the Police, for the rape of a 13-year-old.

The “man of the cloth” is said to be from the area of John’s Town Road in Port Antonio, Portland and according to the detectives who works for the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), he met the teen through social media and later was reported to have become intimate with her.

On December 1st of 2020, it was discovered the child was found out to be pregnant after she was taken along with her Grandmother to visit CISOCA. As a consequence of the revealed information, the 13-year old’s Grandmother received subsequent charges for failing to report the matter to the relevant authorities.

The Portland pastor was held recently on June 7, after being accosted on a Police operation that took place in Downtown, Kingston after he was subjected to an interrogation session with his lawyer present.

A June 17 Court date has been set for him to answer to the charges laid against him however, in the meantime he has been placed on remand.
