Dancehall wonder Potential Kidd made an appearance on The Fix program and, disclosed some things that majority of Jamaicans might not have known about the entertainer.
The once-popular artiste who has been absent from the local music scene for years said that he did not stop doing his music, but was just touring foreign countries as his income stream has always flowed from that direction.
In retrospect of one of his most popular songs “Yah so nice”, Kidd said that it gave him his first ” buss” in the music internationally, and even resulted in a 17 million dollar contract that was given to him by Lime, who at the time had the deejay’s face on their phone cards.
Unfortunately, the entertainer said that the contract was taken away from him due to the lyrics “before me tun a ba++ym@n mi Radda tun an r@p3r”, which the company did not approve of.
According to Potential Kidd, that moment was sad for him, however, it is obvious that the deejay kept high spirits and continued to do his music which allowed him to visit most of the Caribbean, The United States of America and several European countries.
According to the “Urgency” artiste, every show his team kept in the states sold out completely, especially because he was supported by women.
