Prime Minister Teenage Sons Get Vaccine Jab

Both teenage sons of Prime Minister Andrew Holness stepped up on Sunday and successfully took their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, as a part of the new islandwide vaccination blitz.
The two boys took the jab in the presence of their parents; Mr Holness and Mrs Juliet Holness, at the Jamaica College School as a part of the new plan to get students to be a part of the vaccinated population.
In the new islandwide vaccination blitz, the Government is targeting children 12 years and older who are subject to underlying illnesses, as well as those between the ages of 15 and 18 who are gearing up to sit external examinations as the main groups to get jabbed.
On the first day of the vaccination blitz, Minister of Health and Wellness Christopher Tufton has reported an approximate number of 13000 people who took the vaccine.
Most of the individuals contained in that given number were also reported by the minister to be students. The matter is very controversial as; many people have been speaking out via radio programs as well as in their day to day conversations about children being vaccinated since many are not sure if it is the safest thing to do, considering the short period in which the vaccines have been developed.
