Outspoken Reggae singer Queen Ifrica has called out media personality Miss Kitty for criticising Jamaican women. Miss Kitty, who recently welcomed her first child after getting married last year, has been vocal online as she addresses statements made about her and her family.

Following Miss Kitty’s statements, Queen Ifrica reacted to what the former radio show host said during a live stream, dubbing it a “rant.”

Ifrica said Miss Kitty was criticising Jamaican women from the perspective of a woman who is married and has a family now. While Ifrica expressed that black people being in a healthy relationship and having a family is ideal, whatever Miss Kitty is pushing is the same thing holding women back.

“The same slave plantation weh you a bat fi keep going, Miss Kitty, is the reason why these black women cannot be the kind of women they are supposed to be. Because they are not getting the opportunity that probably you would have afforded yourself because of your self-drive and your self-awareness,” Ifrica stated.

The Lioness on the Rise singer added that it is time for people to stop talking down to Jamaican women.

“Unuh fi stop talk down to Jamaican woman now and start lif up Jamaican woman and stop use fi unuh experiences weh unuh have because unuh figga out a way fi get pan di thrown weh unuh deh pan.”

Ifrica went on to state that Miss Kitty encouraged Jamaican women to take the COVID-19 vaccine and also told them that they are worthless. The artiste further stated that she does not agree with Miss Kitty’s sentiments regarding Jamaican women and said that she could have taken a better approach when defending her family.

“Ease up pan Jamaican woman because Jamaican woman did not make their situation the way it was. Slave masters and people like yourself who support slave masters are the way Jamaicans are the way they are. Becuase you are are the big influencers,” Ifrica said.
