R. Kelly Engaged To One Of His Alleged Victims – Joycelyn Savage
American singer R. Kelly is reportedly engaged to Joycelyn Savage, one of his alleged sexual abuse victims. This revelation was made public in a letter that she wrote to a federal judge ahead of his sentencing, appealing for leniency.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Savage alleged in the letter that she is the “fiancé” of Kelly and proceeded to dismiss the narrative in the media that she is a victim. She also wrote that she and the 55-year-old singer are deeply in love and used the words such as ‘sweet’, ‘gentle’, and ‘kind’ to describe him.
Furthermore, the 26-year-old woman alluded that the Government portrayed her to be a victim of R. Kelly’s sex crimes, however, she asserted that this is an inaccurate representation and maintained that she will forever love and support her fiancé.
“I still support Robert to this day because I love him and will always be here to support him. Robert is not the monster that the government has described him to be. The Robert I know is very sweet, gentle, and kind. At the end of the day, he has always made sure that I’m taken care of, and any other women he was with as well,” stated a section of Savage’s letter to the judge.
On June 29, Robert Sylvester Kelly o/c R. Kelly was sentenced by Ann Donnelly, a U.S. District Court Judge to 30 years in federal prison after being found guilty of nine charges which include racketeering, and sexual exploitation of a child, bribery, kidnapping, and sex trafficking involving five victims.
He is also scheduled to be sentenced in August 2022 by a federal court in Chicago for charges of enticement of a minor, possession of child abuse images, and obstruction of justice.
