Rapper Hurricane Chris Arrested and Charged for Murder

According to news reports, rapper Hurricane Chris has been arrested and charged for murder. The rapper Hurricane who is from Louisiana who goes by the official name Christopher Dooley Jr, was apprehended by the police for a second-degree murder that took place in his hometown Shreveport by way of an altercation between him and a man.

Reports are coming in that sometime after 1 a.m on Friday morning the incident took place at a Texaco gas station, in Shreveport, Louisiana where Hurricane Chris shot and killed a man.

Details of the victim are scarce. The news coming from the Police Department in Shreveport is that the rapper informed the authorities that there was a struggle that ensued over his car which led to the shooting of the man multiple times in self-defence.

The surveillance footage however did not align to the story the rapper gave and that was the factor that led to his arrest. The content found on the surveillance footage even though still remains unconfirmed was enough for the police to take him into custody for second-degree murder which suggest intent.

The vehicle that Hurricane Chris said that there was a tussle over was also reported stolen in the state of Texas according to TMZ so the rapper was also booked for the illegal possession of the stolen property.

The victim was found by the officers with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead.

The 31 years old rapper, Hurricane Chris is best known for his song “A Bay Bay,” which released in 2007 was the lead song off his debut studio album 51/50 Ratchet.

The track is being said to be the rapper’s most successful hit in his career and has been a sensation in the street as well as on hip-hop dance playlist. The song also saw success peaking at No.7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry of America.

This makes the song “A Bay Bay” the rapper’s highest-charting hit and only certified record. 2017, ten years after his debut was the last time Hurricane Chris released a body of work and this was entitled King Cane mixtape.
